James Prigione- BIO

James Prigione Goaltending Academy tailors to the new age of goaltending and devotes its focus to the key aspects of goaltending; agility, positional play, proper butterfly, reverse VH, recoveries, rebound control and much more. James provides a unique teaching style which allows him to get the absolute most out of his students each and every lesson.

James began his career as a Goalie Coach while studying and playing hockey at Selkirk College in British Columbia. As a student athlete, James devoted much of his time to passing along his love and passion of the game to goaltenders of all ages. After a 21-year playing career, where James received goaltending instruction from elite coaches all across the country, James brought his experience, passion and devotion of the game back home to Guelph, Ontario.

His passion to educate, whether it is in sport or education has always been apparent as he plans to attend Teachers College upon graduation at The University of Guelph with an Honours Degree in History. James has always had the desire to give back to the community. In saying that, James is the founder of Saints Saves for Kids (2s4k) which is a non-profit organization in Castlegar, British Columbia that helps ill children and their families.
